Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit, MHC-LP Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsLauren is a person-centered therapist. Instead of operating sessions only using one or two therapeutic approaches (like only CBT), she tailors therapy to each client’s needs, while building a solid and trusting relationship. She understands the benefit of sticking to specific therapy approaches, but also values flexibility, when needed.
She likes each session to look different, because clients' needs can vary from session to session. Some days she will focus on mindfulness and breathing techniques to reduce your anxiety, while other days, she will work on modifying your negative thought patterns, if they're causing you distress. Sometimes the therapy space can be used to just vent without getting all therapy jargon thrown back at you. That's all okay! She will find out what does and does not work for you.
