Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsLaurie's goal is to assist you in exploring issues, emotions, and behaviors that are troubling you or causing distress. These emotions or behaviors may result in anxiety, depression, unhealthy relationships, or general discontent. Her preference is to work collaboratively with clients by addressing these struggles and discovering a solution or change that is reasonable and within reach.
Laurie sees her purpose as assisting clients in their ability to express themselves, increase self-awareness, and lessen any shame or guilt that is getting in the way. She looks for opportunities to help people identify their goals and the obstacles that are keeping them from reaching those goals. Laurie listens carefully, share insights and observations, and assist you in developing strategies for making the changes you want to see. She relies heavily on her therapeutic training, personal experience, and her extensive work with individuals, couples, and groups over the past 30+ years.
Laurie resides in Southern California. She cycles and swims daily, as both physical and mental health are an important part of her life. She enjoys her free time with family and friends, and her "co-therapist," her German Shepherd, Dylan.
Currently, Laurie is only seeing client remotely, through a telehealth platform. This allows her to see clients anywhere in California.
