Laurie Lieberman discovered at an early age that she had an intuitive and curious nature. As she grew older, that became compassion and empathy for others in need. Laurie has worked at shelter programs, substance use treatment programs, advocating for families and children with ACS involvement, with adjudicated youth, and as manager of a large residential treatment facility for people with co-occurring disorders. She also opened the first recovery center in Queens County. Many of these experiences have informed the work she currently does. Laurie attended SUNY Empire and hold a bachelors of science in human services, a Master of Social Work from CUNY Hunter Silberman school of social work.
