Professional statement

Leah practices therapy from a person-centered, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive mindset that honors each client’s dynamic personal history, identity, and perspectives. Her approach is warm, empowering, and non-judgmental. Because of her background as a fine artist and yoga teacher, Leah is able to bring creativity, movement, vulnerability, and even humor into sessions.

Leah’s practice works closely with folks experiencing life transitions, the challenges of emerging adulthood, changing relationships, and low self-esteem. She also works with survivors of gender-based violence, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and PTSD. In their work with Leah, clients dig into their past experiences to get to the root of their struggles. Then, with Leah’s support, they’ll plant new seeds that lead to personal growth, a healthier connection with themselves, and more joy in every area of their lives.

Message to clients

Welcome! I subscribe to the power of the mind-body connection and holistic practices to achieve healing. Have you ever felt stress in your shoulders or anxiety in your hands? That’s the power of the mind-body connection! I encourage you to tap into your body and offer movement-based tools and mindfulness exercises to complement our talk therapy work.

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. Together, we’ll create a welcoming space for partnership and growth. You’ll guide your own care, and I’ll provide support as you work toward your goals. Set up a complimentary consultation if this seems like a fit. I’m glad you are here and look forward to connecting!
