Professional statement

Dr. Lee LeGrice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who welcomes both individuals and couples to her offices in Denver, Colorado and Fort Worth, Texas. She is passionate about helping clients navigate relationship challenges. She supports the healing process after a disconnection; and helps to bridge the distance between partners. Her aim is to foster a sense of closeness and connection and help clients build healthy, secure relationships. In addition to helping couples she also works with individuals experiencing anxiety and wanting to overcome barriers to reaching personal and professional goals.

Dr. LeGrice is certified in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), which is informed by attachment theory, emotion theory and neuroscience. It emphasizes that we are wired for growth and healing and are more able to do this when we feel safe and are not alone. Undoing one’s unwanted aloneness in the face of intense and unbearable emotional experiences is central to AEDP’s mission. With couples, Dr. LeGrice uses Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based therapy that helps couples reduce conflict and foster a secure and loving bond. Dr. LeGrice helps clients recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected, allowing them to choose to respond in a way that reflects and reinforces their deep longings and build loving bonds.

Dr. LeGrice received her Masters and PhD in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington, and has worked with individuals and couples for close to 30 years. Prior to starting her practice she worked in non-profit executive leadership for 20 years. While Dr LeGrice is currently seeing clients in person and online, she maintains an office conveniently located in Denver’s Lower Highlands neighborhood.

Message to clients

I recognize that making this first step can be difficult. My intention is to create a space that feels safe and comfortable, where you can feel free to talk about whatever is on your mind. You may be trying to work through a relationship issue, or a nagging anxiety or sense of unease. Maybe you know that there is something standing between you and the life you want, but don’t know how to change old patterns. I will meet you with openness, thoughtful questions, and honest feedback, and together we can process your emotions, build insight, and create room for you to grow and expand in ways that are aligned with your goals. My hope is that our work will bring you closer to a life that reflects your true longings and potential. I invite you to reach out to me to learn more about how I may help you reach your goals.
