Libbie Vaughan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in social work. She has been providing psychotherapy to clients for the past 8 years and most recently has been trained in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). Clients typically come to her seeking help with major life transitions - career decisions, relationship breakups, death of a loved one, caregiving responsibilities, menopause, coming to terms with aging, and going after their dreams. She works with adults of all ages.
Libbie's approach is eclectic and intuitive. She not only draws on her clinical knowledge and expertise, but also on her own life experience. Her clients say she creates a safe and welcoming space and her warm presence puts them at ease. They find her to be kind, wise, gentle, and creative. They especially like the resources she provides after a session that are unique to their needs.
Her training in ART is especially exciting. She uses this gentle and effective modality to help clients release and transform traumatic memories holding them back. Clients can set themselves free from decades of trauma, often in just a single session! She has a personal experience with ART. After losing her husband to suicide in 2020, a single ART session freed her from the traumatic memories that haunted her, and she is able to bring to mind the good times instead.
Libbie sees talk therapy and ART clients virtually, so she can serve anyone who resides in the state of Texas. She also offers in-person ART sessions at a clinic in Missouri City, TX, outside of Houston. Her hours are M - F, 10am - 5pm. Some evening appointments may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
