Professional statement

Lillian de Blecourt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist in the Chicago Loop who specializes in anxiety, trauma, relationships, mindfulness, and emotion regulation. She has extensive experience in working with developmental (childhood) trauma, and also treats PTSD and acute trauma. Many of her clients are urban professionals in their mid-20s to early 40s. However, she sees adults across the lifespan. Lillian has recently added Sensorimotor Psychotherapy as another treatment modality and finds it helpful for individuals with depression and anxiety as well as trauma.

Lillian utilizes a number of different treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Sensorimotor Therapy, and mindfulness practices. She helps her clients regulate their mood and energy in addition to developing self-acceptance and finding their place in the world. If she finds that a client needs extra support, Lillian has a strong network of providers she can refer them to.

With over two decades of experience, Lillian helps her clients develop the coping skills they need to take on life’s challenges. Her office is accessible from the Brown, Red, Pink, Purple, Orange, and Green lines near the Washington/Wabash station.
