Professional statement

Dr. Linda Olson is a Clinical Psychologist who sees clients in Connecticut for virtual sessions. Many of her clients are facing major life transitions, such as a relationship shift or divorce; the loss of a loved one; or navigating general coparenting issues with their partner. She also welcomes clients who grew up with childhood trauma, and who may be seeking support in breaking disruptive patterns in the present day. Dr. Olson also specializes in helping clients manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.

In addition to providing individual sessions, Dr. Olson also oversees groups for women that are based in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and rooted in mindfulness. These modalities are also at the core of her one-on-one work with clients, as she uses them to guide clients towards increased self-control and a greater sense of groundedness.

Dr. Olson also welcomes couples to her practice; she frequently uses Imago therapy as a key point of reference to guide partners experiencing repeated conflict turn these stressful experiences into opportunities for growth in the relationship.

Warm, compassionate, and engaging, Dr. Olson cares deeply about her clients and looks forward to learning more about your story.

Message to clients

I love to help clients feel listened to, affirmed, validated and understood. My goal is to give you the skills to understand and validate yourself – not to judge or question yourself. I can’t do it for you – and (not but!) I can do it with you, so you don’t have to feel alone.

My passion is also to help women who grew suffering with narcissistic abuse learn how to heal and how not to unconsciously repeat the patterns learned in childhood.
