Professional statement

Lindsay Haug is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Maplewood, NJ. Lindsay specializes in supporting individuals and families that experience disorientation in the face of major life changes. These life changes could be starting at a new school or place of employment, facing a new or chronic illness, or any other significant change in daily life. Lindsay works with clients who have ADHD, behavioral, or emotional struggles and need new tools to cope with stressors.

Lindsay’s approach to therapy combines psychotherapy and health coaching techniques. She helps clients identify the areas of their lives that cause them stress and then collaborates with them to establish healthier patterns. She also provides clients with a safe, compassionate space for them to verbally explore their feelings. Her goal is to empower clients to ensure their needs are being met and to support them as they develop a closer connection to their inner feelings.

Lindsay earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings, including special education and schools. Her warmth with clients helps them feel comfortable opening up and getting the tools they need to thrive.

Message to clients

Throughout different times in one's life, people are presented with obstacles that may be difficult to handle by themselves. This could be a result of situations your child(ren) are experiencing, health related concerns of yourself or a loved one as well as unexpected events that can leave you a bit bewildered and lost. It is my intention to help you and your family or loved ones face life events from an empowered, supportive place and to ensure that your specific needs are being met. We will work together, at your pace, to help develop the necessary tools and strengthen both individuals and family units.

In addition to 12 years of experience working with youth and families, I am also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I use my combined training in coaching and therapy to create a supportive, healing environment using an authentic and sincere approach. I create a judgement-free environment to provide my clients with a safe, comfortable space to discover their inner-strengths and achieve the goals they are looking to accomplish. I encourage all of my clients to provide honest feedback to me to ensure they are getting the most out of their sessions. I enjoy empowering my clients to face their concerns from a place of strength and confidence and face their challenges with my support. I truly love the work that I do, and I love helping my clients in anyway I can.
