Professional statement

Lindsay Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Texas and Colorado and founder of Four Seeds Counseling. She engages her work with a strong desire to serve clients with respect and empathy, while encouraging each on their personal journey. She believes change happens in the context of relationship and is encouraged by the practice of doing life together. Lindsay holds an attachment approach towards most inter-personal and intra-personal issues. She works well with those maintaining a sense of having it all together while under the surface struggling with family of origin issues, trauma, emotional dysregulation, co-dependent relationships, and low-self worth. Lindsay offers practical, deep, and lasting ways to engage these struggles differently towards a life worth living.

Lindsay has a rich and invaluable background that prepared her for her work in the mental health field. She mentored, taught, and worked with adolescents and their families through college and into her first career in youth ministry. Lindsay sat with those dealing with divorce, addiction and substance abuse, the death of parents, abortion, eating disorders, anxiety, co-dependency, sexual identity, depression, and an array of developmental struggles. Lindsay thrives in conversations of faith, women's issues, trauma, and transitions. Additionally, having lived in many areas across the country, she has developed a sensitivity towards both the universal struggles individuals face coupled with awareness of unique and regional impacts.

After receiving her graduate education in Texas, Lindsay worked for 7 years in the Lone Star state prior to her family relocating to the Denver area in 2020. She continues to see clients in Texas using Telehealth and loves connecting with folks especially in the Dallas area, where she previously lived and worked. Additionally, Lindsay sees clients in Colorado. She is currently using Telehealth for this population as well.

Message to clients

I am so glad you stopped by!

At Four Seeds Counseling, I encourage you to discover your unique values, uncover underlying beliefs about yourself and the world, and practice intentional value-based actions within a safe and confidential relationship. Individuals can hope to gain self-esteem and personal empowerment, learning to trust themselves and others and create a life in which they feel free and content. I am passionate about coming alongside college-aged students through middle aged adult clients wrestling with depression, anxiety, and self-worth due to struggles related to family, childhood, trauma, church, and relationships. I use a myriad of theories and modalities, including attachment work and DBT-informed practices, alongside professional knowledge and experience with complex family systems, substance use, mood disorders, and extensive trauma. In the therapeutic context, I help clients relate differently to pain and discomfort while they create the life they desire.

Finding a therapist you connect with is an important aspect of effective therapy. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I hope to serve clients with respect and empathy while encouraging them in their personal journey of growth. I am both honored and committed to meeting clients where they are and helping them achieve their personal and relational goals.
