Lisa Boice

Lisa Boice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Millcreek, UT. Lisa is passionate about supporting individuals who work in helping fields such as nursing, doctors, other social workers, carers, veterans, and more. She understands the terrible impacts that burnout can have on one’s relationships, their sense of purpose, and their enjoyment of life. She also works with clients who have issues with anxiety or depression and find themselves feeling overwhelmed when faced with daily stressors.

Lisa has over 25 years of utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She teaches clients how to cope with difficult emotions, including frustration, anger, disappointment, fear, or panic. Clients learn how to distract themselves, find different perspectives from which to view their situations, or self-soothe in an effective way. They also set goals for their mental health, and Lisa supports them as they work towards these goals. Lisa is a person-centered psychodynamic therapist, which means that she values each one of her clients for everything that they bring to the table while striving to build a secure, trusting relationship with them. From this relationship, she offers guidance on how to practice self-compassion.

Lisa earned a Master’s degree from Fordham University. She’s worked in a variety of mental health settings, which gives her extensive experience working with folks of all backgrounds, situations, and identities. She is a warm, compassionate therapist who lends an empathetic ear for all clients.
