Professional statement

I work with clients from all different backgrounds who seek support to navigate the world in a way that brings them more fulfillment. Many of my clients come to me when they are going through life transitions such as contemplating a career change, starting or ending a relationship, or exploring personal identity.

Transitions can result in personal growth but can also cause anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, and sometimes even depression. If you are experiencing any of these issues, we will explore your thinking, feelings, and behaviors to determine the relationship that they have on each other. Through understanding yourself better, you will gain confidence in making decisions that will allow you to reach your full potential.

I believe in positive, solution-focused and action-oriented methodologies, tailoring sessions on a client-by-client basis. I use a holistic approach and believe it is critical for my clients to be an active part of the therapeutic alliance. Although it is often necessary to understand the past, I tend to focus on what is happening right now and what my clients want things to look like in the future. I use an integrative approach and uses Person-Centered, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy modalities.

I aim to build a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space that allows my clients to increase their fulfillment in life as well as gain clarity in their authentic self.

Message to clients

Personal growth is hard, but it is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and those that surround you.

Our fulfillment in life is often tied to the relationships that we form. Your friends, your partner, your family, your colleagues, and even the relationship you have with yourself all can have tremendous impact on your life. Another aspect of my practice is to spend time strengthening your own relationships in order to meet your personal goals and to bring deeper meaning to your life. I am passionate about supporting individuals to reach their full potential.

I am known for having an interactive approach, which means that we will practice skills during session and plan together activities that are realistic for you to complete outside of our sessions. In order to work towards meeting your goals, I find it helpful to imagine and even act out conversations or actions that you desire in life. I encourage clients to journal and reflect during the week so that you can start to gain clarity on your actions, thoughts, and feelings and then we can process together in session.

Resilience Lab is a community of like-minded therapists who work collaboratively in order to serve your individual needs better. We are passionate about providing holistic, evidence-based, and affordable mental health care to each and every one of our clients. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you.
