Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, LCPC National Certified Counselor, NCC Master of Arts, MA Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsLolita Ramsey is a counselor in Germantown, MD. She works with adolescents and adults, ages 14 and above. Many of Lolita’s clients come in to address anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life stress, and trauma. Lolita is particularly passionate about serving young adult women. She serves many individuals with a diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder and/or major depressive disorder.
Lolita’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps clients to understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, so that they can create healthier thought patterns to assist in improving mood. In session, Lolita focuses on conflict resolution, assertiveness, grounding, self-esteem building, and communication skills. This approach supports clients in being more aware of why they feel or behave in certain ways and how to overcome barriers blocking them from living the life they desire.
Lolita's style is empathetic, supportive, and collaborative. When clients first start therapy, she will work to create a personalized safe space where each client can speak freely and openly.
Lolita received her MA from Liberty University. She has worked at Vesta, Inc. with individuals with anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. Outside of private practice, she enjoys being in a creative space, whether it is drawing, painting, crafting, or writing. At this time, Lolita is offering virtual therapy sessions only.
