Macie offers office sessions in Aurora with a therapy dog present or equine-assisted sessions at a ranch in Longmont. No matter the location, Macie incorporates the human-animal bond into every session! Having an animal present is scientifically proven to reduce stress hormones, decrease anxiety, and increase comfort and happy hormones. The animal provides an additional non-judgmental and unbiased party in the therapy space, which can increase comfort and therapeutic benefits.
Macie has an eclectic approach to therapy. With an attachment theory framework to therapy, Macie loves to help young women that are dealing with relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, stress, and self-esteem issues. She utilizes ACT approaches to help accept the thoughts that may come in and not attach judgment. Macie also engages in mindfulness and somatic therapy strategies to help connect clients to their bodily sensations and stay present.

Relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating
Stress management - Strengthening effective ways of coping with the stress of life and change; managing expectations of self and others
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
