Maddie Boerste is a therapist with over 20 years of personal experience in therapy and a strong professional background in psychology, education, and clinical mental health counseling. She holds two bachelor’s degrees—one in Psychology and the other in Elementary Education—as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Maddie’s career began as an elementary school teacher in a Title 1 setting, where she developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children and families.

For the past two years, Maddie has been providing therapy to individuals, specializing in trauma, particularly developmental trauma. She also works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, and grief. Maddie is trained in EMDR, a trauma-processing technique, and has completed Level 1 training in developmental and relational trauma therapy.

Maddie is passionate about helping clients heal and grow, using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore, heal, and achieve lasting change.

Message to clients

If you're feeling weighed down by past experiences—whether from significant events or the quiet pain of unmet emotional needs—know that healing is possible. Together, we'll create a safe space where you can explore what's been holding you back and begin releasing what no longer serves you. Trauma doesn't have to be dramatic to leave lasting effects. Emotional neglect, difficult relationships, or unmet needs can leave deep marks. I’m here to help you untangle these patterns and build the tools to reconnect with yourself and others in healthier, more fulfilling ways.

Your identity is always evolving, and I’m here to help you uncover your true, authentic self. Through the Healing Our Core Issues model and EMDR, we’ll work together to address what’s holding you back. As you heal, you’ll gain clarity, confidence, and a deeper sense of peace, empowering you to create the life you truly want.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. If you’re ready to start healing, I’m here to walk with you. Let’s take that first step together.
