Professional statement

Maggie works with young adults and couples using evidence-based techniques and a warm, empathetic approach. With a solid foundation of DBT experience and a variety of other techniques, Maggie takes a structured, action-oriented approach to treatment by setting and meeting goals while staying responsive to clients' needs in the moment. Sometimes that looks like creating space for "venting" or celebrating self-expression. By collaborating with her clients, Maggie ensures that every individual has a designated hour each week to get what they need

Maggie specializes in the intense emotions that come with anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. She is also passionate about addressing general life dissatisfaction with clients so they can move from just existing to really living. Her intensive training has prepared her to work with clients who are either actively in distress or simply facing mundane issues that come up with life’s everyday challenges. No matter what, her clients know they can rely on her non-judgmental approach to reground.

Message to clients

Life in today’s world isn’t easy: online dating, social media, remote work, global uncertainty…the list goes on. I specialize in guiding young adults and couples as they navigate it all. My clients are working through life transitions, relationship challenges, career uncertainty, self-esteem issues, or just want someone to talk to regularly. My role is to identify the right tools to move through these obstacles so you can begin to thrive.

You are more than what you are living through. I want to understand who you are and what you bring to every session. As a specialist in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), I’ll introduce you to skills like emotion regulation to manage the ups, downs, and feelings that go with them. My process is honest and transparent; I'm not afraid to deliver difficult insights, but will do so with kindness and empathy. Ultimately, you will feel grounded in yourself despite your ever-changing surroundings.

Together, we'll build and strengthen your ability to handle anything life throws at you.
