Maggie's practice focuses primarily on the treatment of adults with anxiety disorders and OCD as well as with mood disorders including major depression and bipolar spectrum illnesses. Her work integrates modern teachings from acceptance-based cognitive behavioral theory, summarized in the belief that it is struggle with emotion that causes suffering. All of the education she provides, the interventions she uses, and tools she teaches are in the service of helping you understand your emotional patterns, so that you have the opportunity to surrender your struggle with your emotions.
Maggie's practice includes a free weekly support group for those that live with anxiety, OCD, and mood disorders as well as a free weekly mindfulness class. You can use your out-of-network benefits to get reimbursed for her individual sessions and she works with a company that works on reimbursement for you.

Bipolar disorder - Developing coping and preventive strategies to stabilize extreme mood swings, including manic and depressive episodes; increasing effective strategies to regulate emotions and maintain a healthy daily routine
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) - Reducing unwanted intrusive thoughts and rituals by gradually building comfort and confidence facing difficult fears, thoughts, and emotions
Social anxiety - Helping clients increase confidence and ability to interact with others amidst fear of being judged, worry about embarrassment, or concern about offending others
Panic attacks / panic disorder - Brief, intense periods of overwhelming fear or anxiety
