Maki is on a mission to help clients reclaim control of their lives and be fully authentic to themselves. Having lived in North America, Europe, and Asia, Maki recognizes the importance of providing counseling through cultural humility. She creates a space for clients from diverse backgrounds —including adolescents and young adults—to understand their unique experiences and work through challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural adjustment, interpersonal stress, and more.
Maki understands every client’s needs are different. She uses various modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic approaches to create individualized counseling methods for each client. Her nonjudgmental, empathic approach creates an environment where individuals can safely share their experiences.
Finding the right kind of therapy for you can be a daunting task, but it’s not something you need to face alone. Maki is committed to collaborating with each client to find the best therapeutic approach for them.
