Mara is a trans woman, queer, neurodivergent, White, and of mixed European and Mexican American ancestry. She is also a mental health counselor working in Washington State specializing in gender, sexuality, and trauma. Her theoretical orientation is rooted in Attachment Theory and Internal family systems therapy. She primarily serves queer and trans clients seeking to come into deeper and more loving relationships with themselves.

Mara has worked in the mental health field since 2016, beginning in intensive inpatient psychiatric care. She earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle in 2022, along with additional certification in sex therapy.
