She understands that working and coming home to your second job as a parent is tough. Your child may want to argue about homework, grades, or social media. Dealing with tantrums is no easy feat.
What about struggling with body image, managing relationships, and emotions, and worrying about societal pressures? Adults and adolescents are frequently challenged with the same obstacles. One of the greatest gifts we can provide to someone is help!
Marada's approach to counseling has always focused on adolescents' and their parents' educational, mental, and behavioral health needs. She is passionate about helping adolescents, and young adults determine their future while maintaining a healthy, balanced, and peaceful life.
Her professional counseling has focused on young adults and public school children from kindergarten through 12th grade. She would love to take you along on this enriching journey!
Clients will receive therapy in a non-judgmental environment. She will encourage clients to face their negative thoughts and perspectives while empowering them to set goals. Clients who are honest and willing can expect personal breakthroughs over time.
Maranda uses Christian Counseling Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Compassion Focused Culturally Sensitive Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Brief (SFBT).

Career counseling - Support around personal and professional growth; clarifying career goals and implementing steps toward building a fulfilling career and meaningful work-life balance
Life transitions - Coping with difficult or impactful life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; learning self-care to better manage resulting stress
Burnout - Managing and recovering from stressors that lead to feelings of decreased motivation and disconnection from the self; practicing effective self-care and finding ways to relax both physically and mentally
