My experience as a counselor is diverse.
My Bachelor of Science in Health Administration is from the University of Kentucky, and I have a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I received my license to practice as Professional Counselor (LPC) from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT Board).
I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and have EMDR training according to the standards set forth by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
I worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in Cincinnati at Anchoring Hope Counseling, Right Mind Wellness Center, and The Counseling Professionals. I have worked with people to address stress, anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD and complex PTSD), relationship challenges, healing from partner abuse, healing from adverse childhood experiences (including sexual abuse), and behavioral addictions. Now, I started Holos Counseling, where I continue to help people overcome various problems.
Before becoming professionally licensed as a counselor, I served as a peer counselor for years in multiple settings. In this role, I provided individual support and led various groups for women seeking recovery from low self-esteem, codependency, emotionally destructive relationships, and sexual and relationship addiction.
I have years of experience with 12-step programs and appreciate their effectiveness in addressing various issues.
I am under the supervision of Margaret Pennington, LPCC-S, E.0500175-SUPV.
