Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWMs. Johnson is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with a background supporting children, adolescents, and adults with a number of presenting concerns. She has experience working with family systems and brings that sensitivity to her work with individuals as well.
Ms. Johnson especially enjoys supporting clients navigating life transitions, as well as clients looking to process, heal, and grow from trauma.
Ms. Johnson appreciates each client's background and various identities, and integrates an understanding of the impacts of societal systems, including systems of oppression, on the individual.
Ms. Johnson strives to create a therapeutic environment that is open, safe, collaborative, and supportive. Her approach in therapy is adaptive and customized to best fit the goals of each client. Specific approaches that she likes to use include Strengths-Based, Client-Centered, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
In her free time, Ms. Johnson enjoys baking, watching the Red Sox, doing art, and hanging out with her cat.
