Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFTMastenah Lashkari is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Irvine, CA. Mastenah works with adult individuals and couples who struggle with elevated stress levels. Many of Mastenah’s clients suffer with perfectionism and the pressure placed on them to succeed. This can lead to burnout in their professional and personal lives. They feel overwhelmed by the thought of what it would take to meet their own standards, and want to refocus their lives so they can enjoy peace and balance.
Mastenah’s approach to therapy draws from Motivational Interviewing, a therapy modality that helps clients understand their readiness for change. Mastenah coaches them through how to make changes in their lives and explore what those changes mean for them. Mastenah encourages clients to reflect on their needs, including the needs they’ve had from their early childhoods, and derive insight from their emotional reactions to their environments. She teaches clients about attachment theory and helps clients establish secure attachments to their loved ones. Her goal is to empower clients to take control over their lives so they can address their high levels of stress.
Mastenah earned a Master’s degree from Phillips Graduate University. She previously worked in business and pharmaceutical industries, so she understands the pressure to succeed that many of her clients experience. She strives to validate and support her clients through the many roadblocks to happiness they face.
