Professional statement

Matianna enjoys helping adults of all ages find balance, purpose, and meaning in their lives, including college students, Millennials/Generation Z, and other professionals. Many of Matianna’s clients have achieved goals and milestones. Yet with everything to be grateful for, they do not feel satisfied. Matianna's clients develop clarity on what brings them fulfillment and how to achieve it.

In addition to being a licensed therapist, Matianna is also certified as a yoga teacher and holds a Black Belt in martial arts. She also conducts coaching sessions to aid her clients in streamlining and prioritizing what matters most.

Matianna is seeing clients via telehealth online videoconference. Saturday appointments are also available in addition to weekdays. Matianna is in-network with United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, Oscar, Optum, and Oxford insurance plans.

Message to clients

My clients learn new ways of looking at life and approaching challenges so that they feel better about how they treat their friends, family, and how they treat themselves. Together, we focus on the issues you want to work on.

In therapy, you can expect to go deeper than just superficial venting and come away from sessions with actionable steps. I work with clients on identifying what insights gained during the therapy hour can help you do in everyday life so that you feel and act differently on an everyday basis.

Clients say that they appreciate my warm, non-judgmental, and active approach to therapy. Past clients have said that they feel comfortable exploring their most sensitive issues in therapy. I ask questions to help guide you towards the topics that matter and explore the deepest core issues. If you have worked with a therapist before, but feel that you did not get at the root of the problems you were hoping to address, you may find this direct and engaged approach helpful. I invite you to reach out and see if it is a good fit!
