Master of Science, MS - Mental Health CounselingHaving served as a volunteer at county hospitals, and institutions for 18 years, and working professionally for 16 years with addiction and comorbid disorders, Matthew Morgan M.S., SUDCC-IV is uniquely skilled in working with those experiencing addiction, and trauma related issues. He brings a special awareness to the development of tools and skills acquired through years of application and demonstration.
Matthew has been trained in DBT, EMDR with an LGBTQ+ focus, addiction counseling using the transtheoretical model of change, clinical trauma, Neurofeedback, and case management.
Matthew’s educational background includes an M.S. in Psychology from California Southern University and a B.A. in Human Behavior from Ryokan College Los Angeles. Matthew is an Advanced Substance Abuse Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC-IV) and a certified Neurofeedback Instructor. He has worked with over 3,000 people applying the Neurofeedback technique in various contexts of mental health, peak performance, and improving brain functioning since 2008.

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
