Professional statement

Whether you are experiencing difficulty moving in a desired direction in your life or perhaps noticing patterns in your current behavior or relationships that you would like to change, I look forward to collaborating with you.

I am fortunate to work in a field where I witness healing change every day and it is a privilege to hear your unique story. With experience working in a diversity of settings including community mental health, Day Treatment and college counseling as well as on a rape crisis hotline, I bring a warm and active approach to therapy.

I have worked with both individuals and groups from young adults exploring identity to facilitating an "Aging Well" group for older adults. I am particularly interested in working with clients seeking support for difficulties related to anxiety and depression, relationship struggles, career transitions or job-related stress, aging, grief and loss, assertiveness and boundary setting, and in supporting survivors of sexual assault.

Depending on your needs, I apply a variety of therapeutic modalities and approaches including EMDR, ACT, CBT, CBT-i (for insomnia), mindfulness, motivational interviewing and relational psychology while always considering the greater context of your current struggles and how oppression or discrimination may be contributing to those struggles.

Please reach out to learn how I might support you on your therapeutic goals.
