Professional statement

Do you ever feel like your emotions are running the show? Have you been trying, unsuccessfully, to change problematic behaviors? You are not alone. The ideal client is struggling to find joy or meaning in their life or is looking to stop using ineffective coping mechanisms (avoidance, lying, lashing out, running away). Meghan takes the time to get to know each client and to examine why their behaviors and thoughts are no longer serving them. While looking into the past provides a great deal of information, emphasis is placed on learning to live in the current moment and managing the client's current reality in order to begin building a life worth living.

Message to clients

Growing up in Colorado, I sought serenity in nature and found connection with loved ones through spending time with them outdoors in the mountains. From an early age, I knew that I wanted to help others to find this same sense of calm and connection wherever they may be.

In order to achieve this goal, I received my Bachelor of Art in Psychology followed by a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been comprehensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for both teens and adults as well as received training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

I am currently a fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (109606) and Clinical Supervisor. I have experience in utilizing both DBT and Mindfulness strategies with individuals, couples, and families, as well as facilitating groups for adults and teens.

I am passionate about meeting clients where they are at and guiding them through the process of building the lives that they have dreamed of. I believe in the power of warmth, understanding, and compassion in a therapeutic relationship and strive to create this with each client. I look forward to meeting with you and working towards your goals together!
