Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT Practice: The Beverly Hills Therapy GroupMelanie Grzyb is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, CA, where she welcomes both individual adults and couples who are seeking to create change in their lives. Many of her clients bring in emotional pain, whether the symptoms of anxiety and depression are taking a daily toll, relationships feel unbalanced and disconnected, or stress and self-criticism are impacting performance at work. Together, she guides clients to grow out of old patterns that keep them stuck, peel back layers that hide who they are meant to be, and re-engage with their work, their loved ones, and themselves in more meaningful ways.
Therapy sessions with Melanie integrates both insight-oriented and skills-based approaches. She emphasizes a holistic tailoring to the client’s needs which may incorporate Psychodynamic, Attachment, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches. Melanie gently challenges clients to explore the root cause of their symptoms, gaining new awareness into their emotional and relationship patterns. At the same time, she focuses on practical strategies, with an emphasis on the mind and body connection including relaxation and meditation practices to help clients feel better in the here and now.
Melanie is a trauma-informed therapist who believes that although trauma has a significant effect on our brain, so does healing. She is sensitive to the influence of past experiences on present challenges and works closely with clients to reframe the narrative of their life in a way that increases self-confidence, compassion, and the realization that moving forward is possible.
Melanie is focused on ensuring that her clients see real progress: her style is interactive, warm, and unapologetically direct and honest. She believes that actual meaningful feedback is more useful than simply listening and repeating. Melanie currently offers in person therapy in Beverly Hills, as well as Telehealth sessions for client's convenience.
