She is a collaborative clinician who will help people tap into their current resources and build new skill sets to overcome life’s obstacles. Micaela's theoretical approach to therapy includes mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Feminist Family Therapy, as well as Play Therapy approaches for her younger clients. Micaela has specialized training in DBT approaches and best practices for working with individuals with BFRBs. Through Micaela's clinical expertise and therapeutic relationship with her clients, individuals and families can build mindfulness skills, learn ways to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, communicate effectively with family and friends, and ultimately live the life they want.

Burnout - Managing and recovering from stressors that lead to feelings of decreased motivation and disconnection from the self; practicing effective self-care and finding ways to relax both physically and mentally
