Michael works from a trauma-informed lens—examining how overt and covert traumas have impacted one’s development and personality organization.
Michael's approach to therapy is interpersonal. Throughout the therapeutic process, he actively engages his clients in an ongoing dialog about their experience of the therapy itself--collaborating to make the treatment as effective as possible.
In addition to seeing clients in private practice, Michael has gained clinical experience as a primary therapist at several addiction treatment centers in Los Angeles, CA. He also specializes in providing affirmative psychotherapy to those in the LGBTQ community.
If you are interested in working together, Michael offers a free phone consultation to discuss your treatment goals. Due to the current social distancing guidelines, Michael is currently seeing remotely using Zoom as a tele-health platform.
