Dr. Michael Robbins is a psychologist in private practice in Providence, RI with over 20 years of experience. He is psychodynamically trained, and uses a flexible combination of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and supportive therapy to meet clients where they are and define therapeutic goals together.

Dr. Robbins works with clients age 16 and up, including individuals, families, and couples. With his office conveniently located on College Hill, he sees many college students and professors from neighboring universities. Dr. Robbins trained in community centers in New York City and San Francisco, where he gained experience working with people from all different backgrounds, and he particularly enjoys seeing international students and people in the LGBTQ community. Dr. Robbins has expertise in depression, anxiety disorders including OCD, and parenting issues. Dr. Robbins is also licensed in New York.

It's difficult to be in college. It's difficult to be in a transitional time in your life, and I think it makes a lot of sense to come to therapy and talk with someone who can help you sort out the larger questions in your life so you know where you want to go and who you want to be and what you want to do.
