Master of Science, MS Doctor of Education, Ed.D Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, CRC Certified Clinical Trauma Professional PhDDr. Temple serves as the licensed professional counselor at Temple Renovation Center, LLC. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University and a doctorate in Professional Counseling and Supervision from the University of West Georgia. She also holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling.
She specializes in helping people with hardships, misfortunes, and tragedies to live better. She has been particularly successful in helping clients with career exploration, phase of life transitions, trauma, depression, self-esteem, mood, and anxiety. Dr. Temple helps people move toward cognitive, emotional, and behavioral wellness.
She strives to cultivate a safe and intentional space where clients can explore and practice self-acceptance, their strengths, and new possibilities. Her person-centered, goal-oriented, and integrated approach to counseling can include positive psychology and religion/spirituality upon request. She modifies her clinical approach as each client’s needs and goals are different; however, Dr. Temple draws upon extensive training in evidence-based therapies (EMDR,CPT, CBT, and STARS) to identify therapeutic interventions and to co-create meaningful treatment plans with clients. Her ultimate goal as a therapist is to help clients build better lives.
During the first virtual appointment, clients can expect a quick tutorial in online counseling. Years of serving in higher education taught Dr. Temple that positive customer outcomes begin with a good relationship, a quality assessment, and shared goals. Clients can expect to spend the first two sessions sharing more about their reasons for seeking counseling, engaging in a therapeutic assessment, and co-creating an initial treatment plan.
Outside of private practice and teaching, Dr. Temple enjoys time with her family, exercising, and reading a great audiobook.

It is also important to keep in mind that sometimes it is more cost-effective to pay for counseling out-of-pocket, especially if you must meet an insurance deductible. Other times, self-paying maybe the only option. I offer mental health counseling packages to help clients plan and manage costs. Packages are available for individual and trauma therapy. We offer session installment and monthly subscription plans. Individual Counseling Packages include secure messaging between sessions and weekly online counseling appointment.
