Michelle O'Brien is a licensed clinical social worker and psychoanalyst in formation in private practice in midtown Manhattan. She works with adults and adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, gender identity, and chronic physical illness. She has particular experience working with queer and trans people, those engaged in social justice movements, and people dealing with social oppression. Michelle works psychoanalytically. She completed her MSW at Silberman School of Social Work, Hunter College CUNY, her PhD in Sociology at NYU, and is currently in formation as a psychoanalyst at the Pulsion: The International Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics.
