Professional statement

Dr. Monalise Chinn helps clients become more self-empowered by building a foundation of self-acceptance and self-love. Lack of empowerment can be due to societal conditioning or early life experiences of abandonment or trauma. No matter the cause, loving and expressing who we are fully requires courage & intention.

Dr. Chinn helps those with life-long patterns of relationship challenges, co-dependency and frustration due to not achieving their goals. With over 20 years of experience in mental health care and 10+ years on a spiritual awakening journey, she is skilled in a variety of modalities that integrate mind, body and spirit.

• Mind: Working with the conscious and subconscious – using mindfulness, belief-work & hypnotherapy yield both immediate

and long-term results.

• Body: Tuning into intuition and the wisdom of the body are strategies resulting in greater self-trust.

• Spirit: Addressing aspects of life such as purpose, legacy and creative self-expression leads to more satisfaction and fulfillment in life.

Dr. Chinn is licensed as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse in the states of Hawai’i and Michigan. She obtained her Doctorate in Nursing in 2003 from the University of Florida and holds a minor in Developmental Psychology. Referring to her credentials, she playfully calls herself a “Doctor Nurse.” She has held leadership positions at the University level, in communities, churches, temples, schools and outpatient settings. *All sessions are held online*

Message to clients

Aloha and Welcome, what I’d like you to know is that I bring empathy, compassion and gentleness to the therapy process - cultivated through my personal healing and spiritual awakening journey.

Using presence and my intuition in each session allows them to be tailored specifically to you and your needs in any given moment. While I adapt to your presenting needs, I also keep a broad lens attuned to your long-term goals.

My hope for you is to feel the fulfillment and grounding that comes with living a life that feels authentic to you. Our authenticity is what our spirit wants to express in the world. But our socialization and conditioning can hold us back in efforts to keep us safe or to fit in.

My ultimate message is that change is possible even if it has seemed out of reach in the past. My goal is to provide a safe and supported space where the process of change can feel gentle and grounded.
