Professional statement

As a Mental Health Counselor who works with individuals of any age, clients will come for guidance and support with life transitions, such as marriage, divorce, job/career changes, motherhood, health challenges, existential crises or loss of any kind. I believe a compassionate listener with a tool box of actions can offer guidance in reframing the situation thereby enabling the client to see their concerns in a different, more positive, light. Perhaps you have no idea where you are going or what you are supposed to do in life. Let’s explore your potential and find your purpose.

My approach is a mix of Viktor Frankl’s philosophy of Logotherapy (a form of psychotherapy that promotes action towards finding life’s purpose and thereby achieving happiness), CBT, Mindfulness Practices, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

My life experience raising a family, a full-time career in the business world and many other bumps in the road along the way have provided me with insight into life skills, relationships, and challenges unique to those in similar positions trying to balance it all.

I look forward to working with you to reinvigorate your enthusiasm for life and replace stress and anxiety with optimism for the future.

Message to clients

It takes courage to tell your story and to be vulnerable and introspective, but “a problem shared is a problem halved.” You may be faced with a variety of challenges in life that are preventing you from being happy, fulfilling your potential or causing you pain. Relationships, family, career, health or any life transition can cause us to question our path in life. We will work towards the best solution for your life and your future.

Mental health cannot be separated from physical health, and I believe a holistic approach that incorporates good nutrition and exercise enhances talk therapy. A sense of humor is also invaluable in creating perspective and easing the load we are carrying. With that in mind, I look forward to working with you to reinvigorate your enthusiasm for life and replace stress and anxiety with optimism for the future.
