Muldarde Fortune is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Texas. She has years of experience, ranging from providing services through inpatient psychiatric work, therapy, case management, and hospital emergency room care. Muldarde incorporates evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into her practice, while also ensuring that each client’s personal culture, history, life experiences, and present reality are taken into account. Muldarde has provided therapeutic services in China, New York, and Texas, to name a few, where she has met clients with varying degrees of mental health needs and desired therapeutic goals.
After graduating in 2019, from NYU, with a Masters in Social Work, Muldarde worked as a therapist, first in person, and later strictly online, as the world navigated the pandemic. During this time, Muldarde worked with countless parents whose children struggled to regulate their emotions/behaviors and were often labeled as having ADHD. Through a structured therapeutic process, parents were able to learn different interventions and coping strategies to implement in their households, that brought about positive and hopeful change. Additionally, Muldarde worked with people of all ages, with a focus on older teens and adults, who faced anxiety, depression, and various other mental health obstacles. As a Haitian American, Muldarde has also worked with many immigrant/first-generation Americans.
Currently, Muldarde is offering therapy services for parents with children ages 3-10, who struggle with behavioral and emotional regulation, as well as adults 18+ who are seeking to change their outlook on their present realities and/or learn ways to cope with everyday life stressors. Additionally, there is limited availability for adolescents ages 10-17 who are dealing with PTSD/PTSD symptoms. Muldarde utilizes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which requires two weekly sessions, 1 with the parent/guardian and 1 with the adolescent.
Muldarde is offering only telehealth therapy services at this time.
