Nia earned her master’s degree from New York University and is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey. Nia’s practice pulls from various modalities because she believes an eclectic approach is essential for meeting her clients’ wide range of needs. Her experience providing individual and group therapy to high-school students and survivors of domestic violence with complex trauma backgrounds enhanced her assessment, safety planning, active listening, and problem-solving skills. She uses a strengths-based and person-centered approach when collaborating with her clients to identify their therapeutic goals and develop treatment plans rooted in empowerment and resilience.
