Professional statement

Nicole Coffelt PhD is an embodied feminist, holistic healer, published author, professional artist and licensed psychologist with nearly 15 years of experience in private practice in San Francisco, as well as various medical settings (including UCSF and Stanford University) .

Nicole has studied with shamans around the world and quite passionate about self-empowerment, holistic healing and general sovereignty (from the inside - out) .  She is queer and loves working with those in the LGBTQ community as well as those who similarly identify as artists and creatives.

Depth-oriented addiction recovery and existential angst/life/identity transitions are Nicole's main specialties, and she has a lot of experience in helping people navigate anxiety, depression, codependency, relationship, and communication challenges.

Message to clients

Suffering and existential crisis are always invitations to a new, more expanded and aligned phase of life! Making the decision to become sovereign over your own body, the relationships you attract, livelihood, holistic health, etc. is one of the most empowering things you can do and I honor you in taking the first step by reaching out for guidance to move through whatever challenges you may be facing at the moment .

Hey there ! My name is Dr. Coffelt . After practicing in San Francisco for 14 years - I decided to relocate to Southern Cali and have been settling into a beautiful and cozy new office that's convenient to UCLA, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood for those interested IRL sessions ! I will continue to offer remote sessions via Zoom or Google Meet for those with health, travel and/or other concerns/needs . At this time - both options are partially reimbursable by most PPO health plans .

If you are a resident and/or based in California and wish to find warm, deeply attuned support that synthesizes ancient shamanic wisdom with evidence based somatic and Jungian/humanistic therapies, please reach out !

I would love to answer any questions you have and discuss the possibility of working together . Do note that I prefer working with individuals and couples invested in a weekly commitment and ready to do deeper work over a period of years, rather than those simply looking for quick, short-term symptom relief .
