She has 20 years of experience in private practice in San Francisco and LA as well as community mental health and academic medical settings (e.g., UCSF and Stanford University) , has studied with shamans around the world and remains devoted to synthesizing ancient wisdom with cutting edge, evidence based approaches to therapy .
