Message to clients

I specialize in helping individuals overcome barriers that impede their relationships, emotional well-being, and professional success. If 6-12 months of couples therapy doesn't sound appealing, ask me about my couple's intensives. Individual therapy can last anywhere from 5-12 sessions, spanning 1 -12 months, depending on your needs. Utilizing secure videoconferencing, I provide therapy sessions that prioritize your privacy. The groups I facilitate are focused on equipping you with practical skills to conquer daily stressors, cognitive challenges, and communication issues. Rest assured, my approach is backed by expertise and aimed at empowering you for lasting positive change.

Emotional regulation - Clients with emotional dysregulation often have low mood, chronic anxiety, ruminate (i.e. worry a lot), and look to others for reassurance as ways to avoid unpleasant feelings or to feel more confident about themselves or their situation. Emotional regulation therapy integrates components of cognitive-behavioral, acceptance, dialectical, mindfulness-based, and experiential, emotion-focused treatments to improve behavior that are consistent with their particular life values

Couples counseling - Addressing relationship challenges and life transitions; strengthening communication and feelings of security, desire, connection, and love

Relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating

Cognitive therapy and cognitive evaluation - A cognitive assessment evaluates important areas of brain function. These include: memory, concentration, processing speed, language, and reasoning capabilities. These tests are most appropriate when evaluating a return to school or work scenario after an injury, one needs an IQ test or if one is concerned about their ability to remember pertinent information, think quickly, problem-solve, or concentrate.

Work-related stress - Managing overwhelming stress and expectations; increasing effective ways of restoring and maintaining emotional stability and health; addressing challenging relationships with coworkers and bosses

Concussion management - Helping individuals (such as athletes) who have suffered concussions deal with its effects on cognition, mood, the loss of joy, and any aggravated mood disorders through coping strategies

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
