Hello, I am Nico Ortiz, LPCC and I am very excited you have stopped by; reaching out is the very first step to achieving the help and support you may need along your unique journey.
As a licensed psychotherapist and USAF Vet I understand first hand how trauma effects not only our relationships but our physical bodies. How our nervous systems respond can be very tricky to navigate alone, but with guidance and support we can get through even the toughest moments together.
My professional background has been in the out patient and residential settings, where I have worked as both primary/group therapist as well as, Clinical Director. I have extensive experience offering in-person and tele-health services, working with individuals and groups from all walks of life. My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care.
I treat a number of mental health disorders including: Complex-Trauma with Grief and Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Inner Child work , and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, groups, and couples therapy
Addiction - Coping with emotional discomfort and suffering; reducing or abstaining from unwanted behaviors such as unhealthy gambling or shopping
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Existential crisis & challenges - Supportive exploration of meaning and purpose in one’s life; finding one’s path in the face of existential anxiety, dread, and feelings of meaninglessness
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - Healing painful experiences and memories from the past
Veterans' issues - Coping with reactions of exposure to life-threatening or traumatic events; supporting veterans and their families adjusting to civilian life
