Nina Chaifetz is a therapist and licensed social worker with offices in the Flatiron District of Manhattan and Westchester. She specializes in supporting clients through personal and professional growth, relationship issues, couples counseling, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. She is especially passionate about helping clients find their authentic selves, pursue work that is more aligned with their values, tap into their potential, and create a more joyous and satisfying life. Nina is trained in holistic health coaching, and also offers supervision/therapy for other therapists. As a Certified Daring Way® Facilitator (based on Brene´ Brown’s work) and a SoulCollage® Facilitator, Nina uses these transformative processes individually and in groups and workshops. She is also intensively trained in DBT and incorporates mindfulness into her work with individuals and groups.
Nina believes that all challenges can be opportunities for personal growth and empowerment, and she works with clients from this point of view. She utilizes a range of therapy types to help clients create lasting results, including insight-oriented and gestalt psychotherapy (which focuses on the here and now), mindfulness, and art therapy. She also incorporates nutritional and lifestyle considerations to assist her clients in creating healthier emotional and physical wellbeing. This can be especially helpful with anxiety, sleep disturbances, depression, and hormonal issues. Nina treats each client as a whole person, working with the mind, body, and emotions. She believes in the incredible resilience of her clients, and helps clients build upon their own internal resources to persevere.
Nina is a deep thinker, an attentive listener, and a direct communicator. Outside of her work, she loves to travel, be in nature, and spend quality time with her friends and family. She truly loves her work with clients and feels honored to help facilitate others on their journey towards becoming their best selves.
