Professional statement

Dr. Noelia Ysern Solá is a Psychologist located in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Ysern Solá helps clients navigate moments of intense change. This could include starting at a new school, finding a different job, or beginning a relationship. It might also mean dealing with a break-up, moving to a new place, or handling a loss. Many of her clients feel distressed when it comes to these changes and seek therapy as a way to make sense of what’s happening in their lives.

Dr. Ysern Solá empowers clients to feel proud of who they are, what they do, and who they love. She has an integrative approach to therapy with a client-centered focus where teaches clients to identify what’s in their control and what’s out of their control. She also encourages clients to look at their relationships and consider how they can connect with others more meaningfully. Her goal is to help clients live more authentically and reach their goals through intention, introspection, and with empathy. Dr. Ysern Solá teaches clients how to practice self-compassion, letting themselves off the hook for their self-imposed high standards. Clients learn how to practice effective self-care and feel more comfortable with their emotions.

Dr. Ysern Solá has a doctorate in psychology. She is a fierce advocate for identity-affirming therapy and works with clients of all cultural backgrounds and identities. She learned about the importance of self-compassion through her own experience as a Latinx individual who often felt like she didn’t fit in. She brings her own mental health journey with her when offering support to clients, creating an empathetic, encouraging environment for therapy sessions.

Message to clients

Do you feel different and misunderstood? Does it feel like a struggle to make sense of things? As a latinx, I have often struggled to find my place in a world that feels difficult to navigate. However, nothing makes me more proud than being me, and I want to help you feel better about yourself. My work as a therapist has been guided by fierce passion and compassion. I strongly believe we all have a place in the world, and that we not only fit, but we benefit it with our presence. Safety, empathy, and understanding are values that guide my practice as we work together to heal, grow, and help you understand the world around you.

My experiences include working with depression, anxiety, life transitions and challenges (dating, moving to a new place, starting a new job, starting college, losing a loved one, coping with world events such as the pandemic), identity stressors (culture, gender, sexuality, discrimination), empowerment, trauma healing, and self-acceptance.

I want to help you become the best version of yourself according to your own standards and to find meaning and joy in the life you lead. If you think I can help you in your journey, email me to schedule a 15-minute free phone consultation.
