Psychologist, PhDDr. Paige Freeman is a licensed psychologist located in Houston, TX. Paige helps individuals (ages 10+) who are experiencing chronic and episodic worry and anxiety and stress. She also enjoys helping clients who are experiencing difficulties with life adjustment, health anxiety and life transitions. Paige loves doing family work with multiple family members and helping parents navigate the stressful journey of parenthood.
Paige firmly believes that avoidance of life experience and emotions leads to psychological inflexibility which oftentimes results in anxiety and feelings of disconnection from life. She is an active therapist who helps her clients develop a new relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions. Paige believes that being present in one’s life and human connection are integral to mental health. Oftentimes she guides her clients to examine the way their family of origin experiences influences their current behaviors, thoughts, rules, roles and boundaries.
Paige is dedicated to sharing her knowledge in a collaborative and engaging environment where hard work can also be fun. She cares deeply about each of her clients and believes that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the therapeutic process. Paige's clients describe her as involved, collaborative, kind, available, and fun to work with.
Paige’s approach comes from several different modalities including, but not limited to, cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention Accepting Uncertainty (ERP AU), Family Systems Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and Strategic Family Therapy.
Paige earned her Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in Counseling Psychology and her Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Family Studies (Marriage and Family Therapy program)
