Paola Volquez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Yoga Instructor offering online therapy to residents of New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. She utilizes a holistic and integrative approach tailored to each individual's needs. Paola incorporates breath-work, spirituality and mindfulness techniques with traditional forms of psychodynamic therapy (talk-therapy) and EMDR therapy.
Paola invites clients to welcome curiosity and be willing to feel and look deeply into themselves to transform their thoughts, behaviors and beliefs. She supports clients in exploring their strengths, support systems, family dynamics, and the ways in which social-cultural norms, and systems of oppression influence their life experiences. Such explorations of client’s past and present experiences are with the client's consent, and degree of comfortability in mind. For Paola therapy is a collaborative process and she believes in the importance of building a trusting therapeutic relationship to facilitate growth and healing.
Paola is honored to serve adults from diverse backgrounds.
