Prior to founding her own practice, she served as Director of Trauma Treatment at the Child and Family Institute, and as a staff therapist at the Center for Traumatic Stress at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was supervised by Drs. Judith Cohen and Anthony Mannarino, the developers of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Penelope's practice offers evidence-based approaches to trauma, depression, and anxiety. She is a certified provider of EMDR, TF-CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She employs humor, creativity, and level-headedness in her work with teens, adults, and the LGBTQ+ community.
