Professional statement

Persa DeLapp is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Collegeville, PA. Persa works with adults, including individuals and couples. She provides compassionate support for those struggling with addiction, mood disorders such as anxiety or depression, family conflicts, grief, and the stress of major life transitions. Many of Persa’s clients feel disconnected from themselves and those around them or have trouble feeling fulfilled in their everyday lives. Persa helps these clients reattach themselves to what brings them joy and energy.

Persa’s therapeutic approach includes many evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based therapy. She teaches clients how to grow their self-awareness and pay attention to their thoughts, thought patterns, emotional states, desires, ideas, and attachments. By providing psychoeducation, Persa’s clients learn more about mental health and psychology. Persa believes that each client possesses unique strengths and capabilities, as she takes a strengths-based perspective in therapy.

Persa earned her Master’s degree from Temple University. She is a nurturing, kind therapist who seeks to build strong trust between herself and her clients. She encourages clients to tell their stories and to feel confident in themselves as they take the next step towards building resilience and moving past difficult emotions.

Message to clients

Life is hard and reaching out to for help is a courageous step. I view therapy as a collaborative approach between myself and my clients. I believe in creating a non-judgmental and safe environment in which my clients can tell their story and explore the issues that brought them into therapy. My approach is nurturing and compassionate, and I strive to make my clients feel understood. I also believe in building a trusting therapeutic partnership that supports my clients in achieving their goals and full potential. Therapy is a powerful tool that will help you heal, find happiness and reach your full potentional. I would welcome the opportunity to learn about you and your needs and walk along side with you in your journey.
