Peter Jones is a licensed couples therapist with 30 years experience in investigating and understanding impasses in communication and finding ways through and around them.
He received his MA from Columbia University and his Ed.D from the University of Bristol, both degrees focusing on adult communication and learning. He spent 15 years teaching college and graduate students how to identify communicational impasses and design, implement and test solutions for them.
Beginning in 2015, Peter expanded his understanding of interaction by familiarizing himself with the neuroscience, attachment and psychological literatures on communication with intimate partners. He has been in continuous training since then with the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT) institute. He trained for five years the Hartford Family Institute's body-based (gestalt) psychotherapy program, while earning his licensure in marriage & family therapy.
