Professional statement

Phil (he/him) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in crisis intervention, identity development, long-term self exploration, trauma, depression and anxiety. Phil centers his therapeutic relationships around a spirit of empathy, collaboration and safety. His therapeutic support is eclectic and rooted in helping his clients find a holistic path to resolution and balance when faced with life’s challenges. He works alongside clients to find a sense of peace over disruptive or traumatic experiences, and to explore the questions around identity, self-worth and fulfillment that face us in every stage of life.

Having spent a majority of his clinical experience working with survivors of labor and sex trafficking, Phil incorporates a client empowerment approach to all of his therapy encounters - making sure that his clients are able to co-lead the direction of treatment while never being defined by any one trauma, life experience, or other reductive labels. Phil's training draws on a combination of techniques related to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Relational Therapy as well as other problem-solving and skills building approaches. He works to never be formulaic and believes every individual follows their own path toward healing.

Message to clients

I work with adults who are feeling alone, depressed, anxious, insecure, overwhelmed and/or are seeking peace and healing around life stress, relationship conflict, trauma and self-doubt. In sessions, I strive to establish a bond and space that is rooted in safety, where my clients can feel the freedom to speak their mind, ask important questions, and have the needed support to take any desired steps toward wellness. I look forward to developing a strong alliance with you as we negotiate the relationships, experiences and self-perceptions on the way toward a content and authentic existence.
