Rachel Busch is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. She works with individuals and families. Many of Rachel’s clients come in to address anxiety, stress, life transitions, depression, grief and loss, chronic health issues, and low self-esteem. Rachel is particularly passionate about serving children, adolescents, and adults. She also has advanced training in the areas of anxiety, depression, issues with Executive Functioning, attachment issues, and teaching self-hypnosis.
Rachel is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Art Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness based CBT, Mentalization Based Therapy, and Health Psychology. She will work from a strengths based foundation to understand the primary concerns and develop metacognitive awareness of thoughts and behaviors that impact current functioning. In session, Rachel may employ visualizations, skill building techniques, mindset interventions, motivational interviewing, and art therapy as tools to develop greater understanding. This approach supports clients to develop deeper insight into current functioning and build skills to manage emotions and make decisions that are aligned with their goals and values.

Rachel received her Master’s Degree from The George Washington University. She has worked at Walter Reed Psychiatric Hospital with adults and at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, where she was responsible for all adolescent inpatient psychiatric programming. Outside of private practice, she is avid swimmer and artist.
