Rachel Sobiech (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker accepting telehealth clients in Florida and Washington state. Rachel see’s adults, adolescents, and relationships with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community as well as trauma healing. Many of her clients have found great success in exploring and feeling comfortable in becoming their authentic self but are often held back by painful experiences of the past or unsupportive relationships within their lives. Together, she supports clients to pull back the layers of present challenges in order to release painful past experiences and re-engage with their careers, their loved ones, and themselves as their best and brightest version of themself.
Rachel's therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy. Incorporating techniques such as Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman's approach to relationships. She utilized Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma healing. She helps you identify and utilize your own strengths and abilities to overcome obstacles and challenges that come your way.
Rachel aids clients in identifying their growth and ability to see real progress: She is empathetic, non-judgmental, and positions clients as the experts on where they are now, and where they want to go. A trauma-informed therapist, Rachel is sensitive to the influence of past experiences on present challenges, and works closely with clients to reframe the narrative of their life in a way that increases self-esteem and compassion.
Rachel’s first priority in starting with a new client is ensuring that they feel safe, heard, respected, and like an equal partner in the therapeutic process. Rachel offers the flexibility and convenience of remote therapy sessions, and welcomes new clients to her online practice.
